Expenses and safe seats

One third of all MPs are in safe seats .... and they are more likely to have cheated on their expenses than those who are not in safe seats.

I've written about this before, but this short video makes the point very succinctly.

Hmm... of course none of the safe seats are Lib Dem ones!! In any case I am not sure what the your point is. There are always going to be safe seats and I see nothing wrong with that in a democratic system. Is it now Lib Dem policy that once one party has had a seat for two terms they cannot put up a candidate again for the next election?

I also think you need to be very careful about throwing around the word "cheated". As far as I can see there are very few (4) of them that you could place in this category. The rest have done nothing legally wrong - even though I accept that morally what they did can be criticised.
